About this experience
Luxor is the place where the history of Egypt began. You will see all its main attractions: the Karnak and Luxor temples, the Valley of the Kings, the Hatshepsut temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. I will tell you about the life of ancient and modern Egyptians, local traditions, holidays, religion, economy, and education system.
What to Expect
The Karnak Temple - you will see the most significant places of this religious complex and learn about their history. Among them are the sacred lake, the chapel, and the magical scarab beetle that grants wishes.
The Luxor Temple - I will tell you which pharaohs built it and to whom it is dedicated. I will also show you the famous three-kilometer avenue of sphinxes.
The Hatshepsut Temple - you will learn about the only female pharaoh in the history of Ancient Egypt and her contribution to the country's development.
The Valley of the Kings - we will visit the valley where the tombs of the pharaohs are located. You will hear how the tombs were found and see the ones that have been preserved.
The Colossi of Memnon - you will appreciate the two giant statues weighing seven hundred tons each and learn interesting stories associated with them.
