About this experience
Mdina and Rabat are ancient cities located literally 600 meters apart. In them, you will feel like you are in the Middle Ages. You will walk through narrow winding streets, visit ancient churches, and admire captivating views from the fortress walls. And we will also descend into a mysterious underground grotto with an incredible history!
What to Expect
Mdina: palaces, bastions, and views of the island from above
We will enter the city through the Main Gate and take a stroll through the narrow streets, frozen in time. We will admire the palaces of medieval nobility and visit the 17th-century Cathedral of St. Paul. And then we will climb the bastions, which have been defending the city from enemy raids for centuries. From their high fortress walls, you will enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of almost the entire island.
Rabat: Basilica of St. Paul and the underground grotto
You will walk through the ancient streets, exploring numerous churches and monasteries. Visit the Basilica of St. Paul and descend to the underground grotto located beneath it, where the apostle spent three months. This underground complex also houses an air raid shelter from the time of World War II and Roman catacombs. I will share the centuries-old history of this amazing place.
