About this experience
Dear travelers, I invite you to take a walk in one of the prestigious districts of Paris, during which you will immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of French lifestyle, learn interesting stories about this neighborhood and its residents. As a result, you will discover another aspect of Paris with its unique architectural heritage and unmistakable charm.
What to Expect
Historical Villas of the Main Street
The walk will start at the charming square adorned with a church in Roman-Byzantine style and an obelisk from the 18th century made of red marble. This is where the main street of the former village, which existed in this place as early as the 7th century, begins. Many famous personalities lived on this street: playwright Molière, artist Maurice Quentin de La Tour (you can see his works in the Louvre), John Adams (2nd President of the U.S.) and his son John Quincy Adams (6th President of the U.S. and the first official U.S. envoy to Russia). During the walk, you will see the house where actress Brigitte Bardot lived and the church where the wedding ceremony of Brigitte and the famous director Vladimir Plemiannikov took place in December 1952.
Architectural Masterpieces
Walking the streets where Marc Chagall, Ivan Bunin, Marcel Proust lived, you will see the Berange Castle - one of the most famous creations of architect Hector Guimard, the creator of the original entrance pavilions of the Paris Metro. You will visit the square where Rodin's masterpiece - the sculpture "The Bronze Age" is installed. Then you will turn onto the street where you will admire charming chalets in Alpine style. And, of course, you will visit the avant-garde corner of this district to see its main attraction - Villa La Roche, which was built in 1925 by the outstanding architects Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret and is considered a bright example of modern architecture in France.
See you in Paris :-)
