Masks and the secrets hidden behind them are as integral to Venice as high waters. Let's explore the complex symbolism and centuries-old history in their vibrant colors. We will take a walk around the city and talk about its carnival side. Then we will head to an authentic workshop to learn from a professional how Venetian masks are made and create one for ourselves.
What to expect
History of Venetian masks
Before the master class, you will take a walk around the city. You will learn about the role masks played in Venice's culture and traditions over the centuries. You will understand their symbolism and the purpose of carnival performances.
Ancient workshop
An experienced master will explain the various techniques and materials used in creating Venetian masks. You will learn how to work with plaster, paper-mache, paints, and decorative elements that make each mask unique. The master will share interesting facts and legends associated with this ancient craft.
Creative process
After the theoretical part, you will independently create a unique mask under the guidance of the master. You will choose the shape, design, and colors that reflect your individuality and bring your ideas to life. Feel free to use your imagination to give the mask a special charm and express your mood!
At the end of the master class, you will not only gain valuable experience but also take your masterpiece home with you.

- The mask making is paid separately: 1 person - 160 euros; 2 or more people - 80 euros per person
