About this experience
Did you know that after dark, the famous Martvili Canyon doesn't fall asleep but 'comes to life'? Its moss-covered walls and rivers are painted in blue, raspberry, yellow, and green colors. 3D animations of birds, plants, and planets appear on them. I invite you to enjoy this amazing sight together!
What to Expect
Boat Ride: We will take a rubber boat ride along the upper part of the canyon to a seven-meter powerful waterfall. Admire the huge lianas hanging from the cliffs, centuries-old moss, and streams flowing down the wet walls.
Hiking Trail: In the lower part of the canyon, we will walk along an equipped pedestrian trail about 1 km long. Along the way, I will tell you how the canyon was formed, why the princely Dadiani family loved it so much, and how it is connected to Ekaterine Chavchavadze.
Organizational Details
- The excursion is conducted on a Mercedes-Benz Viano
- Entrance tickets to the canyon are paid separately (they include a 20-minute boat ride) - 32 lari per person
- It takes 2 hours to drive from Batumi one way
- The tour starts around 6:00 pm

The canyon is splendid. Edward is just a taxi driver. There was no tour at all. He didn't even provide the promised information. He didn't walk in the canyon himself and didn't tell anything. Definitely come here, but without Edward.

A journey into a fairytale. The canyon itself is very beautiful, but the evening lighting makes it mysterious and enigmatic. Unforgettable experience! Thanks to the guide Edward for organizing and conducting such a unique trip!

We have already been to this place last year during the daylight. It was impressive! But at night it's even more magical! We highly recommend this night journey with Edward!
