About this experience
Evening is the time when there is more comfort (as the harsh daytime sun can be unforgiving) and magic in the air. In the dark, insignificant details disappear, and the lighting dramatically illuminates everything that cannot be missed. In 4 hours, we will not only take you around evening Luxor, but also show you the ancient Luxor Temple with its columns and statues, as well as the museum with a collection of amazing artifacts.
What to expect
Welcome to Luxor - the ancient city that served as the capital of the pharaohs during the New Kingdom period (16-11th century BC). In one evening, we will visit two important locations and take a sightseeing tour of the city for you to see both ancient and modern realities.
Luxor Temple. This magnificent sanctuary appeared here for a reason: Luxor was once a capital and was called Thebes. Dedicated to the three deities of ancient Egypt - Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. You will walk down the avenue of sphinxes, admire the palm-shaped columns, statues of Ramses II, and a granite obelisk (there used to be two of them - one was transported to Paris!).
Luxor Museum. It is here that treasures found during excavations in local temples, tombs, and palaces are kept. You will admire numerous statues, examine objects of ancient everyday life, and other exhibits.
Sightseeing tour. After immersing yourself in the distant past, we suggest resurfacing into the present. For this, we will take a ride around lively evening Luxor in a minibus. You will see real Egyptian life, and our guide will tell you about modernity and traditions.
