About this experience
Remember the myth of the Golden Fleece, Jason, and the journey of the Argonauts? On this tour, you will not only learn interesting facts from the history of ancient Colchis, but also ride bicycles through the amazing park which remained untouched during the glacial period. Then, you will switch to kayaks to conquer the 'Golden Lake' and discover its secrets.
What to Expect
Immerse in History
From Batumi in a comfortable car, we will head to the starting point of the cycling route. Along the way, you will enjoy the beauty of the Colchis Lowlands. You will learn which Georgian city was mentioned in the works of ancient thinkers Strabo, Herodotus, and Xenophon. Interesting stories about local life, traditions, tales of ancient events, myths, and legends will accompany you throughout the trip.
Cycling through the park
Switching to bicycles, you will ride through the forest trails across the plains of Colchis National Park. On your left will be the sea coast, and on the right - the huge Lake Paliastomi, which was once a sea bay. The lush greenery and incessant bird songs will be with you throughout the entire walk, as Paliastomi is the largest resting and wintering place for migratory birds in Georgia. While enjoying the nature, don't forget to take photos to remember the experience!
Kayaking Adventure
The cycling route will end at the 'Golden Lake'. You will find out why it is called that and glide through it on two-seater kayaks. After the main program, we can visit a Georgian restaurant with traditional dishes and wine.

The bike ride was excellent! Despite the weather, we were delighted. Riding in the rain has its own charm. Thanks Zaza for yesterday! We laughed heartily! 👍🥰

A great guide. A very good storyteller. Perhaps it's worth making a few changes to the route to include more natural locations and fewer busy roads.
