About this experience
Turkey may not be a well-known wine-producing country, but wine production traditions originated here thousands of years before Christ. You will visit a winery in the western part of the Taurus Mountains, stroll through vineyards, taste local varieties, and discover a completely different Turkey!
What to Expect
We will visit a winery located on the site of the ancient Vyan Vanda - the "Wine City". You will walk through the vineyards and observe the production process. Local winemakers will tell you about grafting and pruning vines. You will learn about the five basic stages of wine production and taste 6 local grape varieties: Bozka, Okyuzgozu, Adjikara, Cabernet Sauvignon, Narinj, and Malbec.
Organizational Details
- We will travel in a comfortable car. The journey takes about 1.5 hours one way.
- The price includes round-trip transfer from the center of Antalya and tasting: 3 tasting sets with six types of wine for each adult traveler and light snacks.
- I recommend bringing headgear and something warm for the evening.
