On this tour, you will visit the most beautiful winemaking villages of the Krasochoria region, located at the foothills of Troodos, immerse yourself in the process of making Cypriot wines, and taste dozens of local varieties. I will tell you about the secrets and traditions of winemaking on the island, take you to the oldest vineyards, and help you navigate through the diversity of Cypriot wines!
What to Expect
Cypriot Winemaking Secrets
The dry mountain climate combined with the sandy soils of Troodos create excellent conditions for winemaking. During our journey, you will see how grapes are grown in Cyprus and taste different varieties. You will visit the hospitable wine cellars of Krasochoria, taste dozens of local wines, hear interesting stories and secrets of Cypriot winemaking, and learn about its thousand-year-old traditions.
Wine Tastings and More
Our route will take us to the five best wineries in Cyprus: Agia Mavri, Lambouri, Menargos, Zenon, and Gerolemo. Along the way, you will taste dozens of local wines, such as the Cypriot variety Commandaria, known since the Middle Ages. In addition to wines, you will try natural products made from grape juice: palouze, souzouko, grape syrup, and various grape jams. You will learn how grape vodka 'Zivania' is made and hear about its healing properties. Those interested can also test and buy cosmetics made from grape seed extracts at factory prices.
Picturesque Mountain Villages
You will walk through the beautiful villages of the Krasochoria region - Kelani, Monagri, and Omodos, and visit one of the oldest wineries on the island, where an ancient wooden wine press is preserved. In the picturesque village of Omodos, you will see the famous Monastery of the Holy Cross, one of the oldest on Cyprus. In Kelani, you will hear the story of a tragic love of a Christian girl and visit a unique church built in honor of the Black Saint. During lunch at a village tavern, we will continue tasting Cypriot drinks, but this time not factory-made, but homemade!

- The excursion price includes transfers from any city in Cyprus (Limassol, Larnaca, Nicosia). Transfer from Paphos is possible with an additional charge of 60€.
