About this experience
The Great Wall of China is a grandiose defensive structure, and any of its sections is worth a visit. However, I will take you straight to the best one: the most picturesque and interesting from the perspective of ascent and descent. And to make the trip unforgettable, after the Wall we will go to try authentic Peking duck and taste the main varieties of Chinese tea.
What to Expect
Best Views of the Great Wall
Mutianyu is considered the most beautiful section of the Great Wall of China in the Beijing area. Once at the top, you will appreciate the grand scale of this famous structure and enjoy the magnificent surrounding landscapes. The Mutianyu section is unique in that you can ascend there by cable car and descend either on it or on speedy sleds through a tube, which in itself will be an exhilarating adventure.
Tea Tasting and Peking Duck
After a stroll along the Wall and an excursion into the history of its construction, we will return to Beijing and head for a tasting of various Chinese tea varieties. You will feel the subtle nuances of flavors and choose your favorite from the myriad of exquisite teas. After the tea session, we will visit a place serving traditional Peking duck. I will tell you about its preparation, presentation, and consumption nuances, and you will immediately appreciate this famous Chinese delicacy.
