Great Wall of China and Immersion into the Culture of the Celestial Empire
About this experience
Chinese say that if you haven't climbed the Great Wall of China, you haven't been to China. And they are right! You will have the opportunity to look at the mountain slopes of the Celestial Empire from the height of the greatest architectural monument, feel the power and grandeur of the Wall. And then, go for a tea tasting.
What to Expect
Chinese Wonder of the World
You will see with your own eyes the Great Wall of China and climb this largest architectural monument, visible even from space. We will walk along the Mutianyu section of the wall, built in the 6th century - and at the beginning of the Ming dynasty (in 1569) it was repaired and fortified. You will learn about the history of the wall, hear interesting facts about it, and, of course, enjoy the breathtaking mountain panoramas that will take your breath away. Mutianyu is considered the most beautiful and picturesque section of the wall - you will ascend here by cable car!
Jingshan Park
Translated from Chinese, "Jingshan" means "mountain with a beautiful view." You will take a walk in the park, the dominant feature of which is a high hill - from it, you will have an incredible view! You will admire the graceful pavilions, see bamboo groves. And most importantly - enjoy impressive views of Beijing's architecture, see the Forbidden City and the mountains as if in the palm of your hand!
Secrets of Chinese Tea and Peking Duck
To refresh a bit, we will go for a Chinese tea tasting. This drink holds special significance for the Chinese, who consider tea a wise plant capable of transmitting the energy of life. You will try several types of traditional tea, learn about the history of the drink, about Beijing's tea traditions, and the characteristics of different tea varieties.
And you will also have the chance to taste one of the most famous dishes - Peking duck!
In the evening, we recommend you to attend one of China's traditional shows: Chinese Circus "Heavenly Show from the Celestial Empire"; Golden Mask Dynasty with skillful decorations, professional choreography, and circus art; Kung Fu - the legendary martial art that will astonish you with the monks serving at the Shaolin Monastery.
