About this experience
The luxurious Manial Palace, the powerful medieval citadel of Saladin, the old atmospheric street of Al-Muizz, the gently flowing Nile, and the vibrant authentic Khan el-Khalili market - we have designed a route for you to see the most important sights in Cairo. This will be a private tour just for you - with full immersion in the history and culture of Egypt in its very heart!
What to expect
Manial Palace
You will see a building erected for Prince Muhammad Ali - the uncle of the last king of Egypt. Its architecture combines several styles - Ottoman, Mauritanian, Persian, and even European rococo. Lavishly decorated and extravagantly furnished, the palace will amaze you with its luxury.
Al-Muizz Street and Khan el-Khalili Market
You will take a walk along one of the oldest streets in the city, where Islamic architectural monuments are concentrated. You will mentally transport yourself to another world and feel the atmosphere of ancient Cairo. And then the guide will lead you through the winding narrow alleyways of the colorful bazaar.
Nile River Cruise
You will sail on the Nile on a traditional Egyptian sailboat - a 'felucca'.
Saladin's Fortress
One of Egypt's most powerful sultans, Salah ad-Din, decided to fortify Cairo and its sister city Fustat with a huge wall 'from the Nile to the Nile' to protect them from enemy attacks. However, he did not succeed in turning the fortress into a city within a city. You will visit the medieval citadel and learn the details of its history from the guide.
Muhammad Ali Mosque
It is considered one of the most beautiful mosques in Cairo. The guide will tell you about the construction of the building and the Ottoman period in Egypt's history.
