What to expect
The historical heart of the city
We will start the tour with the most famous attractions of Istanbul. At the Hippodrome Square, you will see the place where concubines were educated. In the Hagia Sophia Cathedral, you will be impressed by the luxurious decoration with gold, mosaics, arches, and columns. And while admiring the famous Blue Mosque, you will understand why it is on the list of the most beautiful places in the world.
History and legends of Istanbul
Crossing on a tram to the other side of the Golden Horn bay, you will find yourself in the Beyoglu district. On Istiklal Street, I will help you find signs of the 19th and 20th centuries and tell you about the Russian white generals who became world-famous avant-garde fashionistas. And on the bustling Taksim Square, I will share the history of the republic's foundation and explain why the capital of Turkey is Ankara and not Istanbul.
Organizational details
The tour is on foot, and we will move between the two sides of the bay by tram. The cost of the tram ride is 2.5 lira per person.
