About this experience
Being in Istanbul, you feel the spirit of the diverse and rich culture of the ancient city like nowhere else. I will help you fully experience the local color, guiding you through authentic neighborhoods and winding streets. The rich aroma of Turkish coffee, the colorful Eastern mosaic, the voice of the muezzin from the minaret - all this will enchant you with its indescribable atmosphere!
What to Expect
Bohemian Cihangir
Thanks to the concentration of theaters, galleries, and upscale restaurants, the district has become a magnet for the creative intelligentsia and foreigners. Here, on one of the cozy streets of Cihangir, we will drink real Turkish coffee and observe the unhurried life of the locals.
Antique Çukurcuma
If you love antique interior items, vintage accessories, and retro-style clothing, this is the place for you. Many of the items in the Çukurcuma ruins were used in the filming of historical movies. You will see the most expressive vintage shops and amazing contents on the shelves.
Multinational Galata
This place was once a Jewish colony, a Roman Catholic settlement, and currently it is one of the most lively districts where immigrants come in search of work and curious travelers relax. Here you will find the famous Galata Tower, whose history I will tell you, and the Pera Palace hotel. It was built for the passengers of the Orient Express, and Agatha Christie wrote the novel of the same name here.
Epochal Karaköy
The district is famous for its concentration of former bank buildings and other historical sites. One of the most famous locations is the mosque of Pargalı İbrahim Pasha. By examining it, you will learn what the vizier was famous for and why a shrine was erected in his honor.
And I will be happy to take atmospheric photos for you during the walk.
