About this experience
Many people come to Berlin to see its alternative version: original locations away from the tourist must-see spots. This city has always attracted creative people. We will find traces of their art, visit the most colorful places, and learn what the non-classical capital is like nowadays.
What to expect
We will visit one of the most informal districts of the city - Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, known for its street art, art galleries, and Turkish snack bars. We will walk along a section of the Berlin Wall transformed into an open-air gallery - East Side Gallery. We will see graffiti by famous artists, including the famous Brezhnev and Honecker kiss, and wander through the courtyards of Hackesche Höfe.
We will talk about Berlin squats - who they are, where they came from, and what is happening with them now. I will recommend the best galleries of contemporary art, one of which is located in a Nazi bunker. And I will tell you about hipsters' favorite place - a covered market where you can taste street food from all over the world.
