About this experience
The great Medici dukes not only adorned the Uffizi Gallery with noble paintings, statues, and other valuable works - they changed the attitude towards art throughout Europe. You will understand how this happened and interact with the masterpieces of the museum's collection not as passive listeners, but as researchers. I have prepared a 'treasure chest of secrets' specifically for this, which will turn a walk through the Uffizi into a game and allow you to get acquainted with the creations of Filippo Lippi, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, and Caravaggio.
What to Expect
Masters of the Uffizi Marvels
Walking through the museum, you will learn how closely the growth and development of Florence are connected with the actions and politics of the Medici. During the tour, I will introduce you to stories from the life of this powerful family and show portraits of the most famous representatives of the dynasty who managed to elevate art to a cult over the centuries. You will not only enjoy exquisite masterpieces but also the beauty of the unusual octagonal Tribune Hall, the ceiling of which is inlaid with six hundred shells from the Indian Ocean; previously, a special permit was required to visit it!
Art Mysteries from the 'Chest'
I will suggest you look at the works of the brush masters in a non-standard way: find the patron or specific character in the painting, build an associative series, or contemplate the theme of the work. Moving from one exhibit to another, I will take hints from the 'treasure chest of secrets' that will help you look at famous masterpieces from a different perspective, such as Botticelli's 'The Birth of Venus,' Leonardo da Vinci's 'Annunciation,' or Raphael's 'Holy Family.'
Who is the Tour For
The tour will be interesting for both children and adults - it is suitable for everyone who wants to touch the beautiful world of fine arts. After a walk through the museum with me, you can stay and continue exploring on your own.
