About this experience
The Museum of Natural History in Vienna is 39 halls, 8700 square meters, and the entire history of the animal and plant world on Earth. Without an experienced guide, you definitely won't get by here! I suggest choosing one direction and embarking on a journey with me—either exploring the world of dinosaurs or traveling back to the ice age to meet ancient inhabitants. There will be many fascinating facts and intriguing stories!
What to Expect
I offer two excursions to choose from.
Dinosaurs
We will embark on an exciting journey through the dinosaur hall. Young explorers will learn what these animals ate and how to distinguish between predators and herbivores. They will understand how scientists learn about dinosaurs, what else, besides skeletons, paleontologists find, meet flying and swimming reptiles. We will discuss what sounds dinosaurs could make and what other creatures lived in that distant era.
Ancient People
During this excursion, children will get acquainted with the tools of ancient people, mammoths, and skeletons of other animals from the ice age. They will learn to process leather and make fire. We will talk about cave paintings and fashion. And also see the most famous statuette found in Austria—Venus of Willendorf, which is around 30,000 years old.
Organizational Details
Additional tickets for adults to the museum are €16. Entry is free for children and teenagers up to 19 years old.
