About this experience
I offer you an interactive game tour around the city or Doge's Palace: in an entertaining form, children will get acquainted with St. Mark's Square and imagine how it has changed over 1200 years. They will see remarkable details on the facades and learn about architectural styles. And if you choose the tour of Doge's Palace, children will act as detectives and solve a crime from the past!
What to Expect
Game 1: City Walk
We will stroll through the city's alleyways-canals and reveal how Venice was built, how wells work, how foundations hold. And we will also get to know the gondola's device - it will be interesting!
On St. Mark's Square, children will find four thieves who wanted to rob the Treasury of St. Mark's Basilica and turned into stone. They will look closely at the details of Bellini's painting and find a grandmother on the facade of one of the houses who saved the Republic. They will also understand the architectural styles: Byzantine, Gothic, and Renaissance styles - and draw their details with me.
Game 2: Doge's Palace
600 years ago, the doge's son, Francesco Foscari, was unjustly accused of murdering the Council of Ten's magistrate, Hermelao Dona. Your task is to uncover the real killer. The mysteries of the Palazzo Ducale with its dungeons, secret doors, dark rooms, plaintive boxes - children will find clues in various rooms and with their help, at the end of the tour, will learn the name of the real criminal and also receive a detective diploma.
While the kids are busy solving tasks and puzzles, adults can listen to my story about Venetian life, the painting of Renaissance masters, the magistrates of the Secret Police, inquisitors, and much more.
