You'll also visit an authentic home winery and a traditional Cypriot tavern.
What to Expect
Cyprus and Aphrodite
You will appreciate Cyprus's most famous attraction—the beach where, according to legend, the ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite 'rose from the sea foam.' The modern name of this place is Petra tou Romiou. I will decode its meaning and share the legend related to it about the Byzantine warrior Digenis Akritas. Additionally, I will show the small grotto of 'Aphrodite's Baths,' quaintly nestled under the canopy of a fig tree.
Village of Latchi and Wonderful Winery
After enjoying the sea and the beach, we will head to the picturesque fishing village of Latchi. You'll have lunch in a traditional tavern, visit a cozy home winery at the foot of the mountain, and its adjacent museum, unveiling the history of the owners' family. You'll observe the wine production and storage processes, taste the wine, and admire the vineyard-covered slopes.
