What to Expect
Omodos Village and Ancient Monasteries
Our journey will start with the traditional Cypriot village of Omodos. We will stroll through its colorful narrow streets and observe the leisurely local life. We will also visit the Church of the Holy Cross and Kykkos Monastery, where one of the three icons painted by Saint Luke during the life of the Virgin Mary is kept. I will tell you the history of these places and reveal their modern significance.
Ghost Hotel, Olympus, and Aphrodite's Beach
You will visit the village of Prodromos and explore the now abandoned, but once thriving Berengaria hotel. Additionally, you will visit an authentic winery, taste aromatic wines, and enjoy the ambience. In the high mountain village of Pedoulas, you will relax in a Cypriot tavern. Finally, you will admire a small picturesque waterfall, ascend to a viewpoint overlooking Mount Olympus, and swim at the birthplace of Aphrodite.
