What to Expect

Hiking on the Japanese Road is not just a walk, but a real adventure that will give you new knowledge and impressions. During an easy hike through the Zailiysky Alatau mountains and the memorable sites of World War II, you will encounter:

• Preserved sites of the Prohodnoe and Ayusay Gorges and the channels of the Bolshaya Almatinka River
• Unique historical artifacts: remnants of stone structures where prisoners lived during the road construction
• Local mysteries: the guide will share stories and legends that will come alive in your imagination
• Breathtaking views: the route will lead you to the GES observation deck, offering a panoramic view of the mountains and Almaty
• Birds of Prey Show: you will learn about Kazakh hunters' culture and observe the skill of their feathered companions - eagles, falcons, vultures, and owls

• One of our team's guides will lead the tour for you
• This is an easy route with a gradual gain in altitude: suitable for people of different ages, including schoolchildren and active retirees (basic physical fitness is necessary in any case)
• Contraindications for participation: cardiovascular diseases, asthma, epilepsy, fractures and limb injuries, altitude sickness
• Depending on the weather and group preparedness, the route may be slightly altered
