After witnessing a stunning East African sunset, we will stroll along the waterfront, visit the market for delicacies and colorful street food. On the ancient streets, I will share about the heritage of the Omani Sultanate. Then we will head to cafes and clubs where you can relax like true Zanzibarians. Throughout the night, you can feel safe in reliable hands, which is crucial for nocturnal journeys in exotic countries.
What to Expect
Flavors and Aromas of Stone Town
We will take a walk along the waterfront after sunset and visit Forodhani Market, where you must try not only seafood but also various local dishes. I will talk about the daily food of Tanzanians and the influence of Indian and Arab cuisines on their gastronomic preferences.
The Magic of the City at Night
Under the moonlight and night lights, we will stroll through the winding narrow streets of the city and discuss the times of the Omani Sultanate. I will show you the house where Freddie Mercury was born, the Old Fort, Anglican and Catholic cathedrals. We will admire the ancient Zanzibar doors and understand their differences. Besides the history of Stone Town, you will learn about the modern lives of the city's residents.
Relaxing Zanzibar-style
"Like I'm bored in a fancy bar, and the first beauty in Zanzibar is playing her country's tune on the guitar." Remember the old-school song? Well, let's not imagine, let's go right there! Just like everywhere, there are places for tourists and for locals. Most travelers only know the first option. But with me, you will go to have fun where Zanzibarians do.
We will visit several venues with live music, where you will listen to traditional and contemporary Swahili songs, play pool if desired, dance with the locals, taste grilled goat meat, and drink local beer. And of course, we will visit nightclubs - each has its specific schedule, so I have planned the optimal route for you. You will see that every Tanzanian is born with dancing talent and appreciate their top-notch twerking.

- Extra expenses: food and drinks; entrance fees to nightclubs, including for the guide (~15000 shillings/person, or 6-7 $); transport for moving between cafes, restaurants, and clubs (~20000 shillings, or 8-9 $)
