During the bright hours of the day, the thermometer in Antalya rises to high marks - the perfect time to relax by the sea. But when the sun hides behind the horizon, the city comes to life. In the night lights - it has its own charm. I invite you to take a stroll through the streets of the Old Town after sunset. Even if you have seen the Iskele Mosque or the Hıdırlık Tower, at night they will reveal themselves to you from an unexpected perspective.
What to Expect
During the walk, I will tell you fascinating stories about the past and present of Antalya. We will explore the hidden corners of the city, and you will feel the special rhythm of its nightlife. Along the way, we will encounter iconic buildings:
- Iskele Mosque. You will be amazed by its unusual construction: the mosque building is supported by 6 columns, with a natural spring flowing between them. The mosque holds one secret - I will reveal it to you.
- Hıdırlık Tower. Let's discuss why scientists still argue about its purpose.
- Clock Tower. I will tell you how many times it has changed its appearance and what caused these changes.
- Kesik Minaret. It is called 'chopped' by the locals because of its notable characteristic - the top of the tower seems to be cut off. You will learn why this happened.
- Kaleiçi Marina - the port of the Old Town. It used to be the only port of Antalya. But the city grew, and the port was moved to the west, where it became home to 'pirate' boats and yachts.
