About this experience
Haifa is a picturesque, multicultural and incredibly colorful city. I will show you its main attractions: the Bahai Gardens, the German Colony, the Louis promenade, and the Talpiot market. I will share the peculiarities of local traditions, cuisine, humor, culture, and mentality. And I will do everything to make you feel like true residents of Haifa during our journey!
What to expect
Past and present
Haifa is known for its millennia-old history. I will tell you about the times when it was ruled by crusaders, Napoleon, the Turks, and Bedouins. I will also reveal from where the last Kaiser of Germany, Wilhelm II, viewed it. Today, it is the third largest city in Israel. You will learn about the major global companies represented here, how the local industry and economy are developing, and how Jews, Christians, and Muslims coexist on the same land.
The very best in Haifa
You will visit the Bahai Gardens and learn about the universal world religion of Baha'i. Stroll through the German Colony and find out why Protestants from Southern Germany moved here in the 19th century. Climb up the Louis promenade at the top of the mountain and enjoy magnificent views of the city, port, and the towers of the oil refinery. If you wish, we can visit the Ahmadis mosque in the Kababir area and learn about an alternative version of Islam. The culmination of the tour will be the vibrant and colorful Talpiot eastern market.
