About this experience
If you want to discover a new side of Israel, I invite you to an exciting journey through the northern part of the country, during which you will visit beautiful places and learn their history, get acquainted with the lifestyle and traditions of the local residents.
Program
- Our exciting day will start in Haifa, early in the morning, when there are few tourists at the lower terraces of the Bahai Gardens, and at their upper terrace, no one will disturb you to take beautiful photos against the backdrop of the huge city sprawling below.
- We will drive through the German colony and learn about the Templars, then, climbing to the top of Mount Carmel, we will visit the Druze villages of Daliya and Usfiya, get to know the culture of this fascinating people, taste the freshest Druze flatbreads with sour sheep yogurt and olives straight from the fire.
- Descending from the mountain, in just 15 minutes we will be at a significant location, Mount Megiddo, better known as Armageddon.
- We will hear about the buried city in the ground, see in the distance the mountains where Nazareth stands, and within 20 minutes we will be ascending to the heart of its majesty—History.
- We will leave the car in the very center of Nazareth and take a leisurely walk through this amazing city that has preserved its grandeur.
- We will stroll through narrow streets to the famous Basilica of the Annunciation and go inside, visit the Church of St. Joseph, see the grotto of the Virgin Mary, and admire the beautiful gallery of mosaics of the Mother of God from around the world.
- After that, we will drive with the breeze to the northernmost point of the country's coast - Rosh HaNikra, a border point with Lebanon, take photos near the signpost Jerusalem - Beirut, and from the top of the chalk mountain, feel what Alexander the Great felt standing on it.
- Our journey will then pass through banana plantations and the modern tourist city of Nahariya, the neat alleys of the Bahai Gardens in Akko. In the old fortress of Akko, we will explore the ancient streets that have remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. From the fortress walls, we will see Haifa in the distance, where our journey began, and start the return journey.
Rest assured, this day will be remembered for a long time. You will learn about many religions, including ones new to you, touch on the secrets of the Old and New Testaments.
Organizational Details
- The excursion starts and ends in Haifa.
- There is no option to arrange transfers to/from Haifa, unless it is in the vicinity of the city. Please note that public transportation in Israel does not operate on Saturdays, and on Fridays its movement stops at 15:00.
