About this experience
The capital has been called many names, but the best way to define it is as the 'first Israeli startup'. I will tell you about the young city of the ancient people and show you the first houses modestly hiding in the shadow of skyscrapers. You will explore the past and present soul of the city and try to capture the indescribable spirit of Tel Aviv.
What to expect
City on sand dunes: leisurely walk around Tel Aviv
Who, how, and why created the city? Where did the first inhabitants come from, what language did they speak, what were their dreams? Why is Tel Aviv called the 'Hill of Spring'? You will learn about this on our rich walk, which will cover the curious sights of the city:
- Mosaic fountain of Nahum Gutman, where you can trace the history of Tel Aviv.
- Shalom Meir Tower - the first skyscraper equipped with the latest technology. In its time, it impressed the residents with its scale and unusual appearance. The tower will amaze you, but with its history.
- Akiva Aryeh Weiss House, one of the first buildings in Tel Aviv.
- Rothschild Boulevard, where you will see a monument to the city's founders and the house of the first mayor of Dizengoff.
- Carmel Market - an authentic oriental bazaar. An attraction that will bring you closer to understanding the soul of Tel Aviv!
- Abima Theater, whose history began long before the city's independence.
As well as Culture Square and the Israeli Philharmonic. During the walk, I will talk about popular Israeli dishes, give recommendations on where to try street food, and suggest interesting cafes and places with the tastiest Israeli ice cream!
