This tour is created just for you! I will introduce you to two highlights of Adjara. We will visit the stunning paradise corner - Batumi Botanical Garden, as well as the ancient fortress of Petra.
What to expect
The tour starts with a visit to the Eden Garden. Yes, it exists on Earth and is a hallmark of Batumi. The local botanical garden contains samples of the rarest and most beautiful plants from around the world, more than 2,000 species of trees. The whole park is divided into 21 zones: from the scorching Mexico and South America to the harsh Himalayas. All plants are planted at different heights, as when organizing the park, gardeners, designers, and botanists decided to turn it into a kind of Semiramis Gardens. So be prepared to constantly climb up and down stairs or just green paths in search of the best photo locations.
Next, we will head to where you will immerse yourself in the past of Adjara! Petra Fortress is a fantastic place, with a huge beach drowned in greenery, leaving unforgettable impressions. "Petra" is the Byzantine name of this fortress city, and in Georgian it is called "Kadjeti Castle," which means "stone, rock." There is an opinion that Petra is the very Kajeti fortress that is mentioned multiple times in the poem by Shota Rustaveli "The Knight in the Panther's Skin."
