About this experience
I invite you to our modern wine cellar in the center of Tbilisi. Here, in a cozy hall or on the summer terrace, you will immerse yourself in the world of wine. You will hear entertaining and educational stories about wineries, taste four types of wine, learn how to evaluate and choose it. In the end, within 2 hours, you will gain an understanding of Georgian winemaking and immerse yourself in the wine atmosphere.
What to expect
Get acquainted with Georgian winemaking
You will find yourself in a stylish modern wine cellar where in a friendly atmosphere you will learn about traditional Georgian winemaking and how it differs from all world practices. I will tell you about the structure of marani and the characteristics of wine depending on the region of its production. And also about how the European method of wine production developed in Georgia. And of course, you will taste wine (4 types): White in European style, Orange, Red Qvevri, and Red in European technology, pairing with cheeses and dried fruits.
Learn to understand wine
At the tasting class, you will learn to break down the drink into components, pair wine with food and vice versa, navigate wine lists, describe your wine preferences to a sommelier in a restaurant or wine cellar. You will learn how to properly evaluate and choose wine, and then share your emotions (there are also specific rules for this).
