Just 15 km from Novi Sad lies a real mountain, albeit small - up to 540 meters high. Today it is a national park, equipped for walking and relaxation. You will see archaeological monuments, ancient monasteries, and other attractions. Walk along winding paths and admire the beauty of the local nature.
What to Expect
A hike to the mountain may sound intimidating, but in reality, it won't be that difficult. You will enjoy nature, breathe fresh air, admire the panoramas of Serbian expanses. And you will see a huge number of attractions, which ones exactly - it's up to you. Optionally, you can:
- Visit ancient monasteries
- Explore lakes
- See waterfalls
- Study rocky formations
- Take a walk near an ancient Roman tower and a quarry
- Check out the partially destroyed television tower
- And much more
We will discuss in advance what you want to see. Fruska is very large, and it is impossible to visit all its attractions in one day.
Organizational Details
- We will take a public bus to Fruska, then walk. The bus fare is paid separately.
- The route includes relatively large, but not steep ascents
- Upon request, I will show you where the hot springs are and how to get to them
- In the summer, take mosquito and tick repellent and drinking water
