The Mysterious History of Petra
To reach the main treasures of Petra, you will have to walk along a narrow sandy-stony road, through rocks and canyons. Along the way, you will learn who the Nabateans were, how Petra was formed, how people lived here, and what these places looked like thousands of years ago. You will admire the fantastic landscapes and understand why travelers from all over the world are drawn here.
Rock-cut Houses, Tombs, and Monasteries
We will show you the iconic landmarks of Petra: the famous Treasury of Al-Khazneh towering at 42 meters high and the rock-cut Monastery of Ad-Deir, built in the 1st century. As well as the amphitheater, ancient dwellings, and tombs with colorful paintings on the walls and ceilings. We will decipher the features of the local architecture and tell you who lives in the 'dead' city today.
