About this experience
The 'Rose City' of Petra is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, a sight better seen in person than in a thousand photos. In a group of up to 45 people, you will cross the Gulf of Aqaba, travel by bus along the picturesque Wadi Rum desert, and finally find yourself in the Siq gorge, where temples, treasury rooms, and tombs are carved into the pink-red rocks, truly captivating the imagination.
What to Expect
Journey to Jordan: The first part of the route takes you through the Gulf of Aqaba, which you will cross by ferry. Then you will switch to a bus and head towards Petra along the legendary Wadi Rum desert—where you will feast your eyes on landscapes from movies like 'The Martian,' 'Dune,' and many others. Along the way, you will learn about the major milestones in Jordan's history.
Ancient Petra: Accompanied by a guide, you will walk through the city-museum carved in the rocks 2500 years ago, unravel the secrets of its construction, and learn about its creators—the Nabatean people. You will see the Treasury of Al-Khazneh, the Ad-Deir Monastery, the amphitheater, tombs, and the High Place of Sacrifice. And of course, you will step into millennia-old residential homes.
Alien-like Siq Gorge deserves attention on its own: it is no less spectacular and atmospheric than Petra. You will find yourself amidst the scenery of pink-red cliffs and take some fantastic photos. You can return back by foot or on a camel ride, adding charm to your stroll.
Buffet Style Lunch awaits you after the Petra visit. In a local restaurant, you will savor dishes from traditional Jordanian cuisine. On the way back, we will make a stop at a market street for purchasing local souvenirs.
