About this experience
This offer is a convenient way to make your dream come true! For two days, you will fly from the Turkish coast to another planet. This feeling arises in Cappadocia, where nature has worked its magic on plateaus and valleys. Against the backdrop of whimsical rock formations, cave cities, and monastery rocks, you will discover legends and immerse yourself in the history of a place known as the crossroads of civilizations.
What to expect
Days 1 and 2: Arrival and Northern Cappadocia
The journey begins in the late afternoon. An individual transfer will take you to the airport. After an hour's flight, you will arrive in Cappadocia, the 'Land of Beautiful Horses.' In the morning, you will embark on an excursion where you will visit:
- Uchisar Castle, where you will delve into the history of the Hittite civilization and admire panoramas from the viewpoint;
- Goreme Open-Air Museum - perhaps the most famous attraction in Cappadocia. It is a collection of rock-cut monasteries where you will learn about their origins and history;
- Valleys of Love, Monks (Pasabag) and Imagination (Devrent), each with its own unique features: you will encounter tall rock pillars, sandy dunes, and mushroom-shaped rocks;
- Avanos, the town of potters. You will visit a workshop-museum to discover traditional local art.
At 17:00-17:30, the transfer will take you to your cave hotel.
Day 3: Southern Cappadocia
The day starts with a magical hot air balloon flight (optional, at an additional cost). Afterward, you will have time to have breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will meet you in the lobby at 9:30, and you will explore the south of Cappadocia. The program includes:
- Best view of the Goreme labyrinths from a viewpoint;
- Underground city of Derinkuyu. Descend 54 meters underground, learn about the city's inhabitants from different eras, and uncover a couple of ancient secrets;
- Ihlara Valley and Selime Monastery - a stone canyon with a wild river and trees, less visited by tourists;
- Viewpoint overlooking Pigeon Valley, where these birds reside, and Turkish 'blue eyes' hang from trees.
- During the day, the program also includes visits to an onyx factory (Cappadocia is famous for rare blue onyx) and a tasting of Cappadocian coffee (complimentary and takes about half an hour).
After the tour, a group transfer will take you to the airport. Upon arrival in Antalya, an individual transfer will take you back to your hotel.
