About this experience
Discover the culture, history, and nature of Cappadocia on a packed bus tour from Antalya! Descend into the underground city of Saratli Kirkgöz, see the fairy chimneys in the Valley of Love, visit the ancient fortress of Uchhisar, and travel back in time to the Silk Road era at a caravanserai. And if you wish, you can greet the sunrise from a hot air balloon.
What to Expect
Day 1
- Underground city of Saratli Kirkgöz, built as a shelter during frequent attacks on the region. The city extends 7 stories underground! You will see toilets, baths, warehouses, living rooms, and learn about the ventilation system.
- Valley of Love. We call this place a Turkish paradise. Here, dozens of fairy chimneys have 'grown' under the open sky.
- Open-Air Museum of Göreme. You will see churches, monasteries, and chapels carved into the rock, all open for visiting, and explore ancient frescoes. And afterwards, you can take pictures in stunning settings.
Day 2
- Hot air balloon flight (not included). Let's start the day beautifully! At dawn, you will rise into the sky above Cappadocia and admire the breathtaking alien landscapes.
- Uchhisar. You will stroll through the ancient fortress, which is remarkably well-preserved. Enjoy the views from the observation deck, learn when and why the fortress was built, and what its name translates to.
- Pigeon Valley. Incredible nature, pigeon nests carved into cliffs, a 15-meter-high waterfall - all this awaits you here.
- Panorama of Göreme. We will visit an observation deck with an excellent view of the city. This place is especially beautiful at sunset!
- Caravanserai. Built during the Seljuk period, it served as a resting and lodging place for caravans. You will appreciate the architecture and learn interesting facts about the Silk Road that passed through here.
Organizational Details
- Included in the price: transfer, services of a Russian-speaking guide, accommodation in a double room at the Duru Cappadocia Stone House hotel, meals (1 dinner and 2 breakfasts), insurance, all entrance tickets
