2-Day Trip to Cappadocia from Istanbul

What awaits you

Day 1: Northern Cappadocia

The journey begins early in the morning (at 4:00-4:30). Individual transfer will take you to the airport. 1.5 hours flight - and you will be in Cappadocia, the Land of Beautiful Horses. You will arrive at the starting point of the excursion with our group transfer. On the first day, you will visit:

• Uchisar Castle Town, where you will delve into the history of the Hittite civilization and enjoy panoramas from the observation deck;
• Open-air Museum in Zelve - perhaps, the most famous attraction of Cappadocia. It consists of numerous rock monasteries: the reason for the settlement's emergence is still unknown, but it was an important religious place in the 9th and 13th centuries.
• Valleys of Love, Monks (Pasha Bag), and Imagination (Devrent). Each has its own peculiarities: you will encounter long stone columns, sandy dunes, and rock mushrooms;
• Avanos Pottery Town. You will visit a museum-workshop where you will get acquainted with traditional local art.

At 17:00-17:30, transfer will take you to your cave hotel.

Day 2: Southern Cappadocia

The second day will start with a fairy-tale hot air balloon flight (optional, at an additional cost). After that, there will be time to have breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will meet you in the lobby at 9:30, and you will set off to explore the south of Cappadocia. The program includes:

• Best view of the labyrinths of Goreme from the observation deck;
• Underground city of Derinkuyu. You will descend 54 meters underground, hear about the city's inhabitants from different times, and uncover a couple of ancient secrets;
• Ihlara Valley and Selime Monastery - a stone canyon with a wild river and trees, which is less visited by tourists;
• Observation deck with a view of Pigeon Valley, where these birds live, and Turkish 'blue eyes' hang on trees.
• During the day, the program also includes visits to an onyx factory (Cappadocia is famous for its rare blue onyx) and a tasting of Cappadocian coffee (it is free and takes about half an hour).

After the excursion, a group transfer will take you to the airport. Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be driven to your hotel by individual transfer.

• The exact departure time from Istanbul is discussed via correspondence (it is possible to adjust to your preferences)
• You will stay in a separate room: we do not accommodate travelers with strangers
• The excursions around Cappadocia on the 1st and 2nd days take place in mini-groups of up to 14 people with a licensed Russian-speaking guide

Cancellation of the excursion

• If you cancel the tour, half of the cost is non-refundable in any case (as I pre-book flights and hotels for you)
• If you cancel the tour more than 72 hours before the tour starts (04:00), we will refund half of the cost
• If you cancel the tour less than 72 hours before the tour starts (04:00), the payment is non-refundable

• All transfers: individual transfer in Istanbul (hotel-airport-hotel), shuttle transfers in Cappadocia
