About this experience
Phaselis nestles at the foot of Mount Tahtali, glorified by Homer in the 'Iliad'. The city is engulfed in evergreen pine forests and lures with its turquoise bay. Nature has not only endowed these lands with charm, but also the people who created impressive structures from stone. We will transport you back 2000 years and try to reconstruct buildings from the ruins, then enjoy the landscapes from the funicular cabin.
What to Expect
Ancient Territory
You will wander along the ruins of different epochs and imagine how the townspeople lived centuries ago. One of the main surviving structures is the aqueduct, an artificial canal that supplied the city with water from a source on the northern hill. In addition, we will explore the Phaselis theater, fortress walls (3rd century BCE), necropolis, temple ruins, and other Hellenistic monuments. Along the way, I will share memorable facts about the city's life and local attractions. After the rich historical part, you will have time to swim and relax in the bay.
From Sea to Sky
We then take the 'Olympos' cable car to the top of Mount Tahtali, the highest point on the Antalya coast. As you ascend higher and higher, you will understand what Turkey is famous for besides the sea and beaches. At an altitude of 2365 meters, clouds will pass by you, while below, the water surface will spread out—a mesmerizing sight! Don't forget to charge your phones and cameras to capture the most romantic photos.
