What to expect
About Kemer
I will tell you about the popular Turkish resort and other settlements in its vicinity, about the tourism development and the activities of the locals. You will learn about the region's early civilizations, where the ancient inhabitants of Kemer lived, and what heritage is preserved in the surviving historical monuments.
Yoruk Ethnographic Park
In the picturesque location of Kemer, you will visit an open-air museum dedicated to the nomadic Turkmen. Explore authentic tents, household items, wax figures, and well imagine the atmosphere of ancient settlements. Traditional dishes and drinks are offered to guests of the complex.
Chalys Mountain
Next on the itinerary is a stop at a panoramic platform at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level. The favorable location of Chalys creates the feeling that massive mountains protrude into the sea, making this place special. From the top, you will see a beautiful carpet of cedar forest and overlook the seaside landscapes.
Ancient Phaselis
The city was founded in the 7th century BC at the foot of Mount Tahtali, or Olympus, described by Homer in the Iliad. You will learn about the history of Phaselis and explore the ruins of Roman and Byzantine monuments: fortress, necropolis and sarcophagi, aqueduct, ancient harbors, baths and monuments, theater, and market squares.
