We depart from the city and head to the first stop on our route: the city of Olympos. It is said that the settlement was founded by pirates - they were attracted by secluded bays scattered along the shore. In addition, the coastline itself is surrounded by impregnable cliffs with numerous caves - there is where to hide. Well, we will enjoy the marine landscapes and, walking along the ruins of ancient houses and peeking into the real Roman baths and necropolis, we will imagine how life boiled here many centuries ago.

Of course, we cannot miss one of the local beaches. The place we will visit is popular with sea turtles - they choose it for nesting. During the warm season, you can swim with a mask and fins in the company of curious fish.

Ancient Phaselis: history and nature
An alternative start to our trip - Phaselis, an ancient city founded in the 7th century BC by colonists from the island of Rhodes. You will explore the ruins of trade squares, appreciate the ancient amphitheater, and discover the gymnasium and Roman baths. Moreover, you will admire the pine forest, swim at the local beach with clean and transparent water, and observe schools of small fish near the coast. And we will tell you about the ups and downs of Phaselis and the famous personalities who shaped its history.

And the quintessence of our journey - the mystical Mount Yanartas. This is one of the rare places in the world where flames burst from the ground for centuries.
