In this program, we have combined attractions that are perfect for a first acquaintance with Istanbul. You will see the largest and most beautiful mosque in the city, visit the luxurious Topkapi Palace, learn about the movies filmed there, immerse yourself in the life of the harem girls in Gulhane Park, stroll through the colorful Grand Bazaar, and choose a souvenir to remember your visit.
What to Expect
- Hippodrome (Sultanahmet) - the main square of Istanbul. The guide will talk about the role of such squares in the Roman Empire.
- Blue Mosque - the most beautiful in the city. You will admire the architecture and learn the significance of minarets during the Ottoman Empire.
- Hagia Sophia, built during the reign of Justinian. The guide will explain how the mosque has managed to survive to this day despite earthquakes.
- Basilica Cistern - we will visit the largest cistern in Constantinople and learn why and for what purpose it was built.
- Topkapi Palace, where the sultans of the Ottoman Empire lived. We will visit the first courtyard: there you will find the Church of St. Irene and the mint. We will talk about how a small state founded by Osman Bey turned into a huge empire. You will also learn about the movies filmed here.
- Gulhane Park. During the Ottoman Empire, harem girls spent their free time here, playing and dancing.
- Sirkeci Train Station - a museum where you will learn about the life of Agatha Christie and the novel 'Murder on the Orient Express'.
- Egyptian Bazaar - the cheapest market where goods from Egypt were sold during the Ottoman Empire. You can purchase souvenirs, sweets, and aromatic Turkish coffee.

- There is an additional fee for tickets to the Basilica Cistern - 800 lira/person.
- It is advisable for women to have a scarf when visiting mosques.
- We will only see the exterior of Hagia Sophia and visit only the first courtyard of Topkapi Palace.
