About this experience
This tour is for those who want to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of Istanbul: visit everywhere - from bazaars and historical districts to religious complexes, hear about the bright traditions of the country from those who have been observing them since childhood, dine with local cuisine - and get lost in the uniqueness and colors of incredible Istanbul!
What to expect
Hear about Istanbul from the firsthand
Our story promises to be truthful, as we were born and raised in Istanbul, so we absorbed the culture and traditions of the country with our mother's milk. You will discover the interpretation of both intricate customs and quite obvious ones. For example, we will tell you what the yellow and red flowers on the landlady's balcony signaled, why two hammers were hung on the door, and why a glass of water was originally served with a cup of coffee. Of course, besides traditions, you will learn about the history of Istanbul, as well as how life is lived in a multi-million city that travelers adore.
Cover all the best in one go
We will cross the entire historical part of the city through and through - areas filled with color and history will change like exciting pages of a book: from historical mosques to hipster neighborhoods where locals love to spend leisure evenings. You will see the Hippodrome and the Basilica Cistern, visit the first courtyard of the Topkapi Palace. Admire the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and the grandiose complex of Suleymaniye. In addition, we will stroll through the narrow streets of the Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Market, and the historical Mahmud Pasha Bazaar, to feel the life and rhythm of local traders. Along the way, we will definitely visit the filming locations of world-famous movies and series.
Midway through the walk, we will take a break for lunch at the best restaurant in the Old City (for 8 years according to TripAdvisor) with Turkish cuisine.
