With my help, you will not only learn about its history, but also understand how closely it intertwines with the character and traditions of the city. You will stroll through the historic quarters of four islands and explore all the main places, listening to legends and fascinating stories. You will walk through 'local' alleys and immerse yourself in the city's life - I promise, in 2.5 hours you will manage to understand and love cozy Wroclaw.
What to expect
Main attractions without boring lectures
My walk is a balanced 'dose' of history, unusual tales and beliefs, notes on modern life and the everyday life of Wroclaw residents. Walking through 4 of the 12 islands of Wroclaw, you will trace the city's path, but you won't get bored for a minute. You will admire the Town Hall on the Market Square, learn about the names of houses Jaś and Małgosia, and nearby see the Church of St. Elizabeth with its tall tower. You will explore Wroclaw's majestic temples inside and out: the University Church with its rich adornment and unusual fate, the church on Sand Island, and of course, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, which will reveal many legends. The mystery of the main clock, the death penalty for construction, the disappearance of the fortress wall - the city's best secrets await you!
Alleys for locals and tips on 'taming' Wroclaw
Studying the main paths of travelers, you will walk along cozy streets where locals love to be. As a local, you can admire the sunset over Tumski Island on the embankment, peek into cafes for locals in inconspicuous courtyards, relax with a cup of tea or coffee. By the way, tea lovers I will take to a place where you can try 350 of its varieties. And I will definitely give you all the Wroclaw instructions: recommend where to try real Polish żurek in bread and local craft beer, which museums and other places to visit in our city.
