About this experience
Cappadocia will conquer you with surreal landscapes: colored rocks, whimsical stone columns, and ancient castle-fortresses. You will visit three valleys: Red, Pigeon, and Pashabag. You will make a clay pot with your own hands in the pottery city of Avanos, climb up to Uchisar fortress, and taste delicious local wine.
What to Expect
Fairy-Tale Valleys
Every corner of Cappadocia has its own 'face'. In Pashabag valley, you will see giant stone columns resembling mushrooms and hear the story of their formation. In the Red valley, you will admire the colorful rocks reminiscent of the American Grand Canyon. And in the Pigeon valley, you will observe artificial dovecotes carved right into the soft volcanic tuff. We will share interesting facts about these amazing places and show them from the best angles.
Pottery Masterclass, Ancient Fortress, and Wine Tasting
We will head to the picturesque city of Avanos, known for its pottery workshops. In one of them, you will try your hand at creating your own work of art. Next, another adventure awaits you—a not-so-challenging climb to Uchisar fortress, carved into the rock. From its top, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys. And Cappadocia is famous for its delicious wine! We will visit a traditional winery where you can taste red, white, and rosé wines.
