About this experience
The Japanese capital is one of the main cycling cities in the world. The metropolis is tightly wrapped in cycling infrastructure, so you will see a maximum of interesting places - both iconic and hidden from prying eyes. The Imperial Palace, the fish market, the sumo wrestler district Ryogoku, the kitchen street - all this awaits you on the tour!
What to Expect
Thanks to exploring the sights on electric bicycles, you will not only be able to visit more places than on a regular tour, but you will also not get tired. Short and long rides will be interspersed with stops at interesting locations, including non-touristy ones, where Japanese life hidden from onlookers flows. Choose the most suitable time - morning or afternoon - and go for a walk!
Morning Tour (meeting at 10:00)
- We will start the tour by visiting the city's financial center and the famous Tokyo railway station. I will tell you about the famous writers who stayed at the luxurious hotel at the station and why it was long believed that the building's architecture was copied from the Dutch.
- Then we will pass through the Sakurada gates of the Imperial Palace, circle the castle, and cross the fashionable Ginza - the shopping street where the most expensive boutiques, restaurants, and clubs are located.
- Next, we will head to the Tsukiji fish market. You will learn the history of this colorful place, where famous fish auctions were once held. We will ride through the picturesque Tsukuda park, after which the tour will end where it began.
Afternoon Tour (meeting at 15:00)
- We will visit Akihabara - the "electric town," the center of otaku culture, anime, and unconventional cafes.
- Then we will ride through the unique kitchenware street Kappabashi and immerse ourselves in its interesting history, ride to the Asakusa district with the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. This is one of the few places in the capital where you can mentally travel back centuries and feel like a discoverer of the mysterious island of samurais and geishas.
- The next point on the route is Ryogoku, the sumo wrestler district. You will see where the sumo wrestlers live and conduct their daily training, uncovering the financial side of this profession.
