The painter Titian is rightfully considered a leading figure of the Venetian Renaissance school, so getting to know his paintings is the key to understanding world painting of the Renaissance era. I invite you to explore three districts of Venice in search of the masterpieces of my famous fellow countryman, uncover hidden meanings and symbols in the great canvases, grasp the significance of artistic details, and ultimately immerse yourself in the spiritual life of the Venetian genius of the 16th century.
What to Expect
Titian's Paintings in Various Corners of Venice
You will have the opportunity to examine in detail 10-15 paintings by Titian, a leading representative of the Venetian school of painting, thoroughly analyze the stories behind the creation of the canvases, their biblical and mythological subjects, their themes, and artistic features. The paintings are located in different venues, so we will be dynamically moving through the districts of Venice: Dorsoduro, San Marco, San Polo, and the Grand Canal. The culmination of Titian's work and our walk will be his last and unfinished piece
