About this experience
Colorful books and textbooks, cartoons about pharaohs and mummies: since childhood, we have been drawn to stories about Ancient Egypt. And here it is in front of our eyes - alive and real! Our guides will introduce children to the legendary civilization in a light and playful format. Kids will solve the mysteries of the Giza pyramids and the silent Sphinx, examine the treasures of Tutankhamun, and imagine how the ancient Egyptians lived.
What to expect
Young Egyptologist Course
In one day, children will explore the most exciting places in Cairo, which they have probably seen in movies and textbooks before! And our guides will tell the history of Ancient Egypt in an interesting and understandable way. The adventure route looks something like this:
- Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. We will uncover the secrets of the pyramids, talk about the plunderers of ancient treasures and the pharaohs' heritage. And next to the legendary Sphinx, we will try to imagine what his nose looked like when he was still proudly standing in his rightful place.
- Cairo Museum. Here young archaeologists will find the main ancient Egyptian artifacts - the treasures of Tutankhamun, sarcophagi and mummies, papyri and coins. We will definitely talk about all of this.
- Pharaohs Village: we will definitely visit the thematic park, where kids will learn about the life of ancient Egyptians in a theatrical and playful way!
What else can be added?
Upon your request, we can change/supplement the program. For example, visit Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur. Children will see the Red Pyramid, and they will surely enjoy the Serapeum with tunnels and mysterious tombs. Here kids will need courage and bravery!
Organizational Details
How the excursion goes
- We will pick you up from any hotel in Cairo/Giza and bring you back after the excursion. Transfer by air-conditioned car for 1-3 people is included in the price.
- Excursion can be conducted for a larger number of people - on a minibus equipped with air conditioning and everything necessary (extra 16€)
- The excursion will be led by a professional Russian-speaking guide from our team, specializing in working with children.
- If you need to be met in the airport area and/or taken back there after the excursion, an additional payment of 30 euros will be required.
- Don't forget to bring a hat/scarf for sun protection, water, and snacks.
