About this experience
We will embark on a journey to discover the unique Armenia in a comfortable car. Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery are my favorite places since childhood. I know their history well and never tire of visiting them. Each time, they seem to amaze me anew. I will also show you the magnificent Mount Ararat and a natural stone wonder. I will tell you about the past of my land.
What to Expect
- Charents Arch, designed by Rafael Israelian in honor of the great Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents. Through it, we will admire Mount Ararat.
- Garni Temple, built by King Tiridates in the 1st century AD. I will show you the fortress ruins at the temple's entrance, as well as the summer residence of Armenian kings and the bathhouse discovered in 1953. I will tell you how water was supplied there and how warmth was preserved inside.
- Symphony of Stones - a gorge that impresses with huge basalt columns.
- Geghard Monastery Complex, built in 403 AD by Saint Gregory the Illuminator on the site of a sacred spring. The complex consists of 2 cave churches, in the first one you will see a cold spring. According to legend, its holy water heals diseases and bestows beauty.
