About this experience
What can surprise an experienced traveler in the center of Istanbul? How about small queues near the Hagia Sophia cathedral or the absence of crowds of tourists in the Basilica Cistern? You might say it's impossible! But in the twilight, Istanbul lives differently, and you will not only be able to freely visit its most famous locations but also see them in a new light - mysteriously in the evening.
What to expect
- Hippodrome Square - the historical center of Istanbul. Here we will see the Obelisk of Constantine, the German Fountain, the Serpent Column, and the Egyptian Obelisk. We will talk about what makes these locations interesting and important.
- Hagia Sophia (outside and inside) - a masterpiece of architecture and the main attraction of the city. You will learn about the record construction times and the difficulties faced by the architects and Justinian, who ruled at the time of the construction of the church.
- Basilica Cistern - a water reservoir built in the time of Justinian to supply drinking water to all residents of Constantinople. The cistern became one of the most visited places in Istanbul after the James Bond film 'From Russia with Love' was shot here.
