About this experience
I invite you to get acquainted with the wonderful capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. I will show you the main attractions of elegant Dusseldorf and reveal how it managed to become the German fashion capital and one of the most comfortable cities to live in Germany.
What to expect
Grand avenues and avant-garde architecture
Dusseldorf is a beautiful, rich, flashy, and very progressive city.
You will ride along the luxurious Koenigsallee and see shopping arcades and reputable banks. On Heinrich Heine Avenue, I will show you the magnificent building of the Academy of Arts and the concert hall 'Tonhalle.' And as you drive over the Rhine bridge, you will admire picturesque embankments, plane trees, historic buildings in the Art Nouveau style, and the ultra-modern architecture of the 'Media Harbor.'
Dusseldorf through the centuries
Dusseldorf's main historical attraction is the Old Town 'Altstadt.' It is called the 'longest bar counter in the world' because there are over 260 pubs, restaurants, and discos here. You will take a walk through Altstadt and see its most important places: Palace Square, the Town Hall, the Baroque church of St. Andrew, and the basilica of St. Lambert with its crooked tower. I will also show you the ceramics and cinema museums, the Heinrich Heine Institute and house, the Neander church, and the monument commemorating Dusseldorf's elevation to city status.
Suspension bridges and practical tips
We will walk along the Dusseldorf waterfront, where you will have a magnificent view of the suspension bridges and the Rhine Tower. I will help you experience the city's magic, understand its charm, and provide valuable recommendations as a local: where to go in your free time, where to shop, how to use public transport, and which restaurants to visit.
