About this experience
Bonn is one of the coziest cities in Germany, carefully preserved since Roman times. It is also the birthplace of famous German sweets and the former capital of the country, which Germans ironically called a 'federal-scale village'. Here time flows slowly and no one is in a hurry. Just like us, we will explore the historical center unhurriedly, step by step revealing its past and present.
What to expect
Time travel
You will walk through the Old Town, which survived wars. Visit several squares - small but important for the country's history. On one you will admire the 'starry' medieval gates, on another you will discover underneath your feet the roots of famous books. You will also:
- See the Palace of the Elector, which has become one of the country's most popular universities
- Take a photo on the porch of the luxurious City Hall, as hundreds of world leaders have done
- Hear the legend of the most beloved saint of German children
- Visit the magnificent monastery basilica and peek into its inner courtyard
- Examine the monument to Beethoven and learn the ironic story of its unveiling
And that's not all!
