We will take a short walk through the Old City and visit a restaurant located in an ancient building. In a pleasant atmosphere, led by professional sommeliers, you will get acquainted with Azerbaijani wines, understand their nuances, and learn about the specifics of winemaking in Azerbaijan.
What to Expect
Walking Tour in Baku
We will meet in the Old City; on the way to the restaurant, I will tell you the 'wine' history of Azerbaijan: how long the winemaking culture has existed in our country, how local varieties were created, and what the modern approach to grape cultivation is.
Atmospheric Venue
The restaurant we will visit is located in the very center of the Old City but in a quiet spot, in a mid-19th-century building - a fact, and the pleasant jazz and soft lighting will add a special charm to the tour.
Wine Tasting
Professional sommeliers will introduce you to wines and explain why the same grape varieties can produce different tastes. You will taste unique local wines, including Pomegranate Wine and Pomegranate Port, indigenous varieties of red and white wines with their amazing history that have miraculously survived to our times. And appetizing cheese and meat assortments are prepared for you as snacks.
