Czech Winemaking History
In just a few hours, you will unlock all the secrets of Czech wines and learn about the history of local winemaking, which began in the 14th century when King Charles IV imported Burgundy grapevines soaked in honey in barrels from France. I will tell you about the Czech wine varieties highly esteemed in Europe: for example, did you know that in 2016, Czech rosé wine was recognized as the best in the world at an international fair in Paris? During the tour, you will learn about the main features of local wines, their origins, and rare Czech grape varieties.
Wine Tastings in the Heart of Prague
In the neighborhoods we will be strolling through, you won't encounter noisy tourists - usually gourmets and local residents who appreciate the medieval corners of Prague wander here. These districts are home to several quiet, cozy wine shops where we will stop to taste traditional Czech wine varieties. Along the way, we will also uncover the mysterious pages of Prague's history: you will learn about famous alchemists, monastic orders, secret organizations of the Middle Ages, Maltese knights, and Templars.
